The Israeli “Channel 12” said on Friday evening that the talks began to set the date and location of the negotiations between Israel and the Hama movement with the aim of reaching an agreement, amid conflicting Israeli positions regarding sending a negotiating delegation.
The channel reported that an Israeli delegation may leave in the coming days to a place that is determined soon, likely to be a “third place” other than Qatar and Egypt, with the possibility that the same delegation that participated in the Doha talks will lead the next negotiation round. But, in return, the “Times of Israel” newspaper quoted the Prime Minister’s office that “there are no plans at this stage” to send a delegation to Qatar or Egypt. An Israeli official also confirmed to the “Axios” website that Netanyahu will direct the sending of a delegation as soon as the negotiations place, provided that the delegation will discuss the hostage file and end the war on the terms of Tel Aviv.
