Sassine Square in Al -Ashrafieh witnessed, Friday evening, the ceremony of raising a new image of the martyr president, Bashir Al -Gemayel, on the occasion of his election as President of the Republic. This event, in which a number of the cadres and supporters of the Lebanese Phalanges Party participated, came under the slogan “The continuation of the state and institutions project,” according to the son of the martyr, Nadim Gemayel.
Nadim Al -Gemayel said on the occasion: “It is true that we have chosen the state and institutions, but we are saints of this East with the choice of the state, and we are demons if necessary.” He added: “On August 23, Bashir won and Lebanon and the Lebanese state defeated all falsehood, we won over the stranger and the Palestinian who started today to hand over his weapon. Today we can say that the Cairo agreement has ended, and if Bashir was president, we would have provided ourselves for 40 years of suffering.” And he continued: “We will link August 23, 1982 and August 23, 2025 In the footsteps of Al -Bashir to build the state, institutions, and the strong army, which will impose his control over all lands and will descend with his prestige and self -strength and remove all the barriers that will stand in his face. Bashir Al -Gemayel is built again. This event comes on the eve of the anniversary of the election of Bashir Al -Gemayel as President of the Republic, in the context of recalling the history and struggle of the Lebanese battalions in order to build a state of institutions, and enhance its presence in the national political scene.
