Prime Minister Dr. Nawwaf Salam received this afternoon in the Saraya, Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), General Diodato Abanara, where UNIFIL’s efforts were discussed in the south to enhance security and stability, in addition to its cooperation with the Lebanese army in order to extend the state authority and implement resolution 1701, as well as the decision expected to be issued by the Security Council at the end of this month regarding the renewal of its mandate.
Salam also met this afternoon in the companies with the Minister of Finance Yassin Jaber, the Minister of Economy Amer Al -Bassat, and the ruler of the Lebanon Bank, Karim Saeed, to follow up on the work of the draft law on dealing with the financial gap, in a manner that ensures the protection of the rights of depositors and the principles of the state.
