
In the context of supporting the capabilities of the Internal Security Forces at the practical and logistical levels, the Internal Security Forces received a gift from the European Union mission in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program “UNDP” which is / 17 / Toyota Hilux Double Cabin, estimated at about / 525,000 / USD. The delivery was delivered at Beirut Port on 18-08-2025.
It is noteworthy that this support also includes the maintenance of / 80 / mechanisms, which would contribute to strengthening the field readiness of the Internal Security Forces and raising their efficiency in carrying out security and police tasks on various Lebanese lands. Al -Hiba, the commander of the regional gendarmerie, Brigadier Jean Awad, represented by the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, in the presence of the Chargé d’Affairs in the European Union mission in Lebanon, Mr. Sami Saadi, And the deputy actress residing for the United Nations Development Program in Lebanon, Mr. Thaer Sherdeh. This gift is part of a series of contributions made by the program to Lebanese security institutions, including the internal security forces, with the aim of strengthening the practical readiness and raising the level of the field response, especially in light of the increasing challenges taking place in the country, and an obligation to support security and stability at the national level. He also explained that this project falls within a joint program with the United Nations Development Program worth 8 million euros, aimed at enhancing Lebanon’s ability to recover and preserve its stability. And from its part, the deputy residing actress for the United Nations Development Program in Lebanon, Mr. Thaer Sharidah, stressed the importance of partnership with the Internal Security Forces, praising its commitment to protecting citizens and enhancing the sovereignty of law, and stressing the continued support of the program for peacebuilding initiatives And stability, and enhancing society’s confidence in official institutions, and based on the importance of this support in promoting the practical readiness of the internal security forces, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces expresses its great gratitude for supporting the European Union and the United Nations Development Program, stressing its keenness to continue constructive cooperation in a way that serves national security and enhances public safety in Lebanon.
