Real Madrid has backed away from the idea of loaning Brazilian striker Andrek during the summer transfer period, despite the interest of Roma and Aston Villa in including him.
According to the Spanish newspaper “AS”, coach Jose Mourinho decided to keep the player and rely on him during the next season, after he was convinced of his potential in the preparatory matches.
Mourinho believes that Endrick is capable of playing an important role as a striker or right winger, while club president Florentino Perez supports the decision to continue.
The Brazilian will have to compete for a place in the starting lineup, after spending the second half of last season on loan to French club Lyon.
However, Endrik has not closed the door to leaving next January, if he does not get enough opportunities to participate with Real Madrid.
