The delegation asked Minister Hani for the possibility of organizing the accumulated production of grapes suitable for wine production and to address the import that threatens local production.”
Shawi confirmed, “Grape production was large this year in light of the continuing global crisis affecting the purchasing power in Lebanon and the difficulties we are experiencing as a result of importing foreign wine.”
Minister Hani promised to address this issue.
Shawi announced, “The delegation of the National Institute of Vine and Wine will also visit the Minister of Economy and Trade on Thursday for the same reasons, and will also meet a number of officials to put them in the atmosphere of the wine sector in Lebanon.”
