2. 3. He welcomes the agreement to stop hostilities between Israel and Lebanon of November 26, 2024, as it is a decisive step towards the full implementation of Resolution 1701, noting with great concern for the continuous violations of this agreement, especially air strikes and drones on Lebanese territory, and the two parties ask the implementation of its provisions accurately, with the support of the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon and UNIFIL power, in line With their states.
4. The government of Israel calls for the withdrawal of its remaining forces north of the blue line, including from the five sites in Lebanese territory, raising the defined buffer zones north of the blue line, and calls on the Lebanese authorities to spread in these sites with the support of UNIFIL, and extend the control of the Lebanon government on all Lebanese lands in accordance with the provisions of Resolution 1559 (2004), Resolution 1680 (2006), Resolution 1701 and the relevant provisions of the agreement Taif, so that it can exercise its full sovereignty, so that there is no weapons as soon as possible without the approval of the government of Lebanon or the authority other than the authority of the government of Lebanon.
5. He refers to his intention to work on the withdrawal of UNIFIL with the aim of making the Lebanese government the only authority responsible for security in southern Lebanon, provided that the government of Lebanon will control full control over all Lebanese lands, especially through the role that the Lebanese armed forces and all state security institutions play, and that the two parties agree on a comprehensive political arrangement.
6. The international community urges its support, including equipment, materials and finances, for the Lebanese armed forces in order to ensure its effective and sustainable spread south of the Litani River and enhance its capabilities to implement Resolution 1701, and the Secretary -General asks to adapt UNIFIL activities, within the framework of its mandate, to support the Lebanese armed forces in establishing an area free from any armed personnel, assets or weapons other than those affiliated with the government of Lebanon and UNIFIL Between the Blue Line and the Litani River, the UNIFIL Commander encourages the full benefit from the current rules of engagement to improve the implementation of the UNIFIL state, and the implementation of a pre -emptive approach to strategic communications to support UNIFIL activities in this regard.
7. The government of Lebanon calls for strengthening the coordination between UNIFIL and the Lebanese Armed Forces and facilitating the access of UNIFIL and completely to the sites that UNIFIL requested for the purpose of rapid investigation, including all the important sites.
8. The mechanism stipulated in the agreement to stop hostilities between Israel and Lebanon of November 26, 2024 and UNIFIL forces call for cooperation to implement their states, and encourages UNIFIL, within the limits of its mandate and current capabilities and its role in monitoring and verifying, to provide support for the mechanism in helping to ensure the enforcement of the obligations that Israel and Lebanon pledged and in monitoring violations of Resolution 1701 and reporting.
9. He calls for strengthening diplomatic efforts to resolve any conflict or reservation related to the international borders between Lebanon and Israel, with the support of the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon and the UNIFIL power, when necessary.
10. The Secretary -General is required to continue submitting reports to the council regarding the implementation of Resolution 1701, every four months, or at any time he deems appropriate, consistent with the current reports form as defined by previous decisions.
