Google stops supporting "YouTube" On old Android phones

Google announced that it has begun to stop technical support for the “YouTube” application on some smartphone models that operate on old “Android” systems, which will affect millions of users of the application across those devices.

Google explained that it has begun to stop technical support for the YouTube application on phones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and older versions of Android, in a move aimed at encouraging users to move to newer versions that provide higher levels of security.

The company confirmed that it will continue to support devices running Android 7.0 Nougat and later versions, warning that using old operating systems may expose users to security vulnerabilities that hackers can exploit to access devices and personal data. (Russia Today)
