
The US Air Force announced, on Monday, that its commander, General David Alvin, would retire in the middle of his term, which was supposed to last four years. The weapon said, in a statement, that General Alvin “announced his intention to step down on the first of November or nearly this date.”
The statement, which was reported by the “French Press Agency”, added that General Alphane “will continue to serve as chief of staff until an alternative to him is confirmed, which will allow time for a smooth transfer of leadership.” It was not clear immediately the cause of this early retirement. General Alphane has chaired the Staff Air Force Authority since November 2023 in a state that was supposed to last four years. US Defense Secretary Beit Higseth asserts that Trump, the Republican, appoints military officials who trust them, but Democrats are afraid that these options will lead to politicizing the army.
