The Amal Movement confirmed that there is no person officially authorized to speak on behalf of its electronic communication body on the “Tik Tok” platform, stressing that all accounts on the platform do not represent the movement or its official bodies, but rather express the personal opinions of their owners.

The head of the Amal Movement’s Executive Board, Mustafa Al-Fouani, issued a statement, in which he drew the attention of all brothers and sisters and social media users to the fact that “there is no person officially authorized to speak on behalf of the Amal Movement’s Electronic Communication Authority on the “Tik Tok” platform.”

The statement added that the accounts on the platform only express the opinions of their owners, activists and supporters, and are not considered an official representation of the movement or its bodies.

This clarification comes in light of the expanding presence of Lebanese political parties and forces on social media platforms, especially TikTok, and the accompanying spread of accounts run by activists and supporters that publish political or organizational content, which sometimes prompts political parties to issue clarifications through which they specify the official channels authorized to issue positions and statements in their name, to avoid any confusion that may arise as a result of the circulation of content or statements through unofficial accounts.
