The Israeli army announced the end of the mission of the Givati ​​Brigade’s combat team in southern Lebanon, after 8 months of military operations.

The Israeli army said, in a statement, that the brigade’s forces began their deployment with a defensive mission along the border, before participating in offensive operations in various areas of southern Lebanon, including Khiam, Bint Jbeil, areas north of the Litani River, and the Beaufort mountain range.

According to the statement, the forces carried out operations that led to “the dismantling of hundreds of military infrastructure, the elimination of hundreds of Hezbollah members, and the discovery of more than 1,000 weapons,” according to his claim.

At a ceremony held to mark the end of the mission, the Commander of the Northern Region of the Israeli Army, Major General Rafi Milo, praised the performance of the brigade’s forces, considering that they contributed to “changing the security reality for years to come,” as he put it.

The Israeli army indicated that the mission’s conclusion ceremony was held at Camp Pilon, in the presence of a number of senior officers, unit commanders, and soldiers.
