Salam: America should pressure Israel to stop hostilities

Prime Minister Dr. Nawwaf Salam, Ambassador Tom Barak, accompanied by the US Mission Adviser Morgan Ortigos, and the American Ambassador Lisa Johnson.

Ambassador Brak offered condolences for the martyrdom of the military in the south last week, and noted the recent government decisions. The Lebanese Armed Forces, money and equipment, enables them to perform the tasks required of them. In the same context, he stressed the importance of renewing the UNIFIL forces due to its role in establishing stability and supporting the army in extending the state’s authority in the south. On the other hand, the Prime Minister called for a clear international commitment to hold a conference to support the reconstruction and economic recovery in Lebanon. The research also dealt with developments in Syria, where the Prime Minister stressed the importance of preserving its unity and enhancing stability in it.
