The Lebanon Debate correspondent reported that a tunnel was blown up in the southern town of Majdal Zoun, hours after precautionary measures were taken in the neighboring town of Mansouri, which included asking residents to evacuate the town in anticipation of any possible field repercussions.

According to the information, Lebanese Army Intelligence had informed the residents of Mansouri of the necessity of evacuating as part of public safety measures, given the town’s proximity to Majdal Zoun and the geographical area between them, in order to prevent any dangers that might affect civilians as a result of the bombing.

This development coincided with what was reported by Hebrew media that residents of the north could hear a strong explosion in the coming hours, as a result of the destruction of infrastructure in Lebanon, indicating that residents of the western part of the northern settlements may feel the force of the explosion.

Data circulating in the Hebrew media also indicated that the bombing would be carried out using tons of explosives, to destroy a network of tunnels belonging to Hezbollah, which was said to have been discovered about two weeks ago, while the Israeli Home Front warned residents of the north of the possibility of feeling an earthquake following the bombing.

Majdal Zoun and Al-Mansouri gain special field importance in light of the developments that the south witnessed during the last phase, as some of the border towns and those surrounding them turned into sensitive points due to the repeated Israeli attacks and the damage, military remnants, and damaged infrastructure they caused.

This development comes in the context of field procedures being implemented in a number of southern regions to deal with facilities or sites that may pose a threat to the safety of the people, amid anticipation of what the coming hours will reveal regarding the size of the explosion and its results on the ground.
