The head of the Arab Tawhid Party, Wiam Wahhab, called for Lebanon to be positioned alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in approaching regional files, considering that the current developments between the United States and Iran carry messages that Lebanon should read carefully at this stage.

In a post on his account on the “X” platform, Wahhab saw that what is happening between the Americans and the Iranians “must push Lebanon to adhere to the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” pointing out that Riyadh is talking about a “just peace.”

He stressed that Lebanon’s interest requires it to move “side by side with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” warning at the same time against taking “any incomplete step” in light of the accelerating political and regional changes.

Wahhab’s positions come at a time when the region is witnessing intense diplomatic activity against the backdrop of the US-Iranian negotiations, coinciding with the escalation of military and security tensions in Lebanon and the region, amid anticipation of the outcomes of the proposed settlements and their repercussions on the various regional files.
