The “Lebanon Debate” correspondent reported that an Israeli army robot advanced from the Arnoun Road towards the Al-Zafata site, before continuing its ascent towards Kaftebnit, reaching the Burj Road between Kaftebnit and Arnoun.
This move comes in light of the escalation of field tension in southern Lebanon, as the region witnesses repeated Israeli movements in conjunction with raids and targeting targeting a number of southern towns and sites.
The area extending between Arnoun, Kafr Benet, and Nabatieh is considered one of the sensitive points on the ground, due to its proximity to axes that have witnessed bombing and military movements during the recent period, in addition to its location overlooking large areas of the central sector.
The use of robotic mechanisms reflects an increasing Israeli trend to rely on unmanned means for monitoring and combing operations and to reduce risks to elements, especially in areas that are believed to witness field threats or the possibility of direct targeting.
These developments come in parallel with the continuing confrontations on the southern front, amid political and diplomatic efforts to stop the escalation and restore stability, at a time when the border villages and towns near the contact lines remain under continuous security pressure.
