Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez revealed his position on the future of Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, denying rumors about his financial demands.

Vinicius, 25 years old, has not yet reached an agreement with Real Madrid to extend his contract, which has one year remaining and expires in the summer of 2027.

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper “EL PAÍS”, Perez said: “Vini has a contract that expires in a year, and he has not renewed it yet. There is still plenty of time, and I would be very happy if he stayed forever.”

He added: “He won the last two Champions League titles for us, and he is closely linked to the club.”

Regarding the conversation about his financial demands, Perez explained: “They say that he asks for a lot, but that is not true.”

The Real Madrid president also defended Vinicius in the face of boos inside the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, saying that those who do not like him “are not Real Madrid fans.”

Perez concluded: “If Vinicius does not want to continue with Real Madrid and wants to sign with another club, he has complete freedom to do so. I will not force him to do anything. Money is not the most important thing, and it never was.”
