Kai Havertz, the star of the English club Arsenal, responded to describing them as the less fortunate team, ahead of the team’s expected confrontation with the French club Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

The Gunners enter their match with the French champions in high spirits after winning the English Premier League title, but with Paris Saint-Germain defending their Champions League title, they are considered favorites to win.

Havertz previously won the Champions League title, scoring the only goal in Chelsea’s victory over Manchester City 1-0 in Porto, to win their second Champions League title in 2021.

Now, Havertz hopes to “recapture that feeling” when Mikel Arteta’s side visit the Puskas Arena on Saturday.

“For me, there are clear positive feelings,” Havertz told the New York Times. “I can’t wait to play in that match and bring the trophy to north London.”

He added: “We have many players who have played in big matches like this before. Of course, Kepa Arrizabalaga and I played in a previous final with Chelsea and won it… I can only give the team good memories of myself, and maybe that helps.”

He added: “Personally, this first Champions League title is something I will never forget. We were the less fortunate team that day. It was not an ideal season for us, but the situation is completely different now with Arsenal.”

He continued: “I would not have dreamed as a child that I would score a goal in the Champions League final and win that match. It is a moment I will never forget, and I will always be proud of it. I will just try to evoke that feeling on Saturday, and I hope I can get it back.”

And whether he thinks Arsenal is the team least likely to win against Paris Saint-Germain, he said: “They won the title last year, so they were probably the best team in Europe. They had another exceptional season, and “For us, this is the second time this club has reached the Champions League final… We have great confidence because we have been competing at the highest levels for two years, and we have finally won the English Premier League.” “I think this gives us a big morale boost.”

He continued defiantly: “It does not matter if you are the less fortunate team or whatever… in such situations we will enter the field to win against them.”
