At a time when the Lebanese are becoming more concerned about how they spend their money, Tawfeer is launching a new concept in the convenience store sector that keeps pace with this transformation and provides a practical solution to the consumer’s daily needs. Save Max comes to offer a different approach to shopping based on a simple and clear principle: “Buy more and pay less,” through a new purchasing concept based on smart shopping and achieving greater savings in the long term.

This new model combines the ease of shopping in the supermarket with the competitive prices known in wholesale trade, allowing customers to benefit from purchasing in larger quantities in a convenient and cost-effective way. The launch of Tawfeer Max reflects a direct reading of the consumer reality in Lebanon, where the consumer has become more planning and cautious, and is looking for the best possible value for what he spends. This model also contributes to promoting more efficient consumption by encouraging smart purchases in larger quantities.

Unlike traditional stores that rely on temporary offers, Savings Max is based on the idea of permanent savings, as competitive prices remain present throughout the year, not just during sales periods. The store also adopts a tiered pricing system (PV1, PV2, PV3), where the unit cost decreases as the quantity purchased increases, so that prices become more affordable when purchasing a single piece, more economical when purchasing a larger quantity, and cheaper when purchasing a complete carton, which allows consumers, and not just merchants, to benefit from wholesale prices. This system includes various basic categories, from food to beverages and household products. Thus, saving becomes part of the daily shopping experience.

Tawfeer Max is distinguished by the fact that it offers wholesale prices without the need for subscriptions or special conditions, which makes it available to a wide segment of consumers, from families seeking to control their budget, to store owners and small businesses looking to reduce the cost of their purchases.

In this context, Rami Bitar, CEO of Tawfeer, said: “The launch of Tawfeer Max came as a result of a clear change in consumer behavior. Today, the shopper has become more aware of his purchasing decisions, and is constantly looking for ways to save more. Through this concept, we are offering an option that helps them benefit from better prices when purchasing in larger quantities, without any compromise on quality or variety.”

This philosophy is also reflected in the design of the stores, where a simple and practical style was adopted that facilitates the movement of customers and saves time, with a wide variety of basic products, larger sizes, in addition to a strong presence of private labels, which allows a clear and easy shopping experience.

Bitar added: “We aspire to establish Tawfeer Max as a primary destination for low-cost shopping in Lebanon. As we expand, we will continue to work on improving the customer experience and reaching a greater number of regions.”

Since the opening of the first Savings Max branch in “Cascada Mall” in the Bekaa in late 2025, it has recorded a remarkable demand, with an increase in the number of customers and the frequency of their visits, in addition to an increase in the volume of their purchases, which reflects its suitability to the current reality. As part of its expansion plans, Tawfeer is preparing to open the second Tawfeer Max branch in Jbeil by the end of this month, in a new step aimed at bringing this concept closer to a wider segment of consumers in various Lebanese regions.
