The Department of Information and Public Relations at the General Directorate of Civil Defense announced, in a statement, the martyrdom of three of its members while carrying out a rescue and ambulance mission for those injured as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted a building in the town of Majdal Zoun – Tyre district.

This development comes in light of the ongoing field escalation in southern Lebanon, where several towns are exposed to repeated Israeli raids and artillery shelling, leading to casualties and extensive damage.

According to the “Lebanon Debate” correspondent, an Israeli air force threw a bomb towards a team from the Civil Defense and the Lebanese Army in the town of Majdal Zoun, causing casualties, in conjunction with field difficulties in reaching the site of the raid.

In this context, an official military source confirmed to “Lebanon Debate” that the army is continuing rescue operations despite the threats, and is working to reach civil defense members and citizens, in parallel with relief teams continuing to try to evacuate those trapped under the rubble.
