"Notebooks": Google launches a newly innovative feature

Google announced the launch of the “Notebooks” feature for users of the “Gimini” application, after it was previously available only to subscribers to the paid service dedicated to artificial intelligence.

This new feature enables users to store conversations, files, and resources in a single project, allowing the app to leverage this data when asking new questions. This makes the work easier and saves time and effort spent starting over every time.

This feature appeared in a new section called “Notebooks” in the application’s sidebar, in addition to the “Gems” and “Chats” sections. Any dialogue can easily be saved through the options menu, with the ability to modify the method of responses in terms of style and form, or deactivate the memory feature for those who do not wish to return to previous conversations.

The feature is also distinguished by its integration with the “NotebookLM” tool, where the content is updated between the two applications automatically, allowing you to benefit from additional features such as displaying video clips and graphs without the need to transfer sources manually.

According to the company, the free version allows adding up to 50 sources per notebook, while the capacity reaches 600 sources in the paid “Ultra” package.

The “Notebooks” feature is currently available on the web version, and is scheduled to soon be expanded to include smartphone and Mac applications, as part of the “Gemini” suite of AI-powered tools.
