The National Authority of the Litani River reported that a team of its employees at the Abdel-Al Hydroelectric Power Plant miraculously survived after their car was indirectly hit as a result of the raid that targeted the Mashghra area in the Western Bekaa.
The utility explained in a statement issued by it that its technical and administrative teams continue to work on operating the “Abdul Al Plant” and the entire hydroelectric production system, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of electrical current and meeting the requirements of the villages and towns that benefit from its services, in addition to supporting the stability of the public electrical network.
The Authority stressed that the continuation of this vital facility’s work despite the difficult security conditions comes as part of its national responsibility to maintain the continuity of necessary services, and called for the neutralization of vital infrastructure and its workers from any dangers that may threaten their security and the safety of public facilities.
