Dangerous escalation: Hezbollah launches intense attacks with missiles and drones on several fronts

In a notable field escalation, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Hezbollah announced a series of operations targeting Israeli military sites and bases in the Galilee and Golan region, in addition to military vehicles stationed around Bint Jbeil.

In successive statements, Hezbollah reported that at 1:20 p.m., Israeli army infrastructure in the city of Acre was targeted with a barrage of missiles. At the same time, the party launched an air attack using swarms of drones to attack gatherings of Israeli soldiers at the Metulla site and the Yiftach barracks.

The party also stated that at 14:00, a “Merkava” tank was targeted on the eastern outskirts of the city of Bint Jbeil with a direct missile, confirming that a hit had been achieved. Then, at 15:00, the party resumed targeting another tank in the same location “for the third time,” according to the statement, with confirmation of a direct hit.

In the context of operations, the party announced at 15:30 that it had targeted the “Yoav” barracks in the occupied Syrian Golan with a swarm of attack drones, and at 15:50 a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the town of Taybeh was targeted with a barrage of missiles.

These statements coincided with the publication of video clips that the party claimed documented the targeting of Israeli military infrastructure in the city of Haifa with specific missiles, in addition to the targeting of an armored personnel carrier in the town of Ainata in southern Lebanon with an attack drone, and the “Nashrim” base southeast of Haifa with a barrage of specific missiles.

This escalation comes in light of the continuation of open confrontations along the Lebanese-Israeli border, coinciding with a broader regional escalation related to the ongoing confrontation between the United States and Iran.

During the past few weeks, the scope of targeting has expanded to include locations deeper inside Israeli territory. On the other hand, Israel launched intensive raids on towns in southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, amid an escalation in the level of mutual threats between the two parties.

The use of attack drones and specific missiles reflects an evolution in the method of operations, as strikes now target military bases and infrastructure, in addition to armored vehicles on the front lines, which indicates the possibility of expanding the scope of clashes in the coming hours and days.
