A match in the Swiss third division witnessed a unique event, as Argentine Ezequiel Schelotto, captain of the FC Paradiso team, intervened to extinguish a fire that broke out behind one of the goals during the course of the match.
A video clip spread on social media showing the outbreak of fire near a banner for Paradiso fans, next to one of the goals and in front of the parking lot of the “Campo Pian Sciarolo” stadium, which has a capacity of approximately a thousand spectators.
During the match between Paradiso and its guest FC Pavoa, which ended with a 2-0 victory for the host team last Saturday, “Schilotto” rushed to the side of the field, brought a water hose, and then himself put out the fire.
