
In a match in the twenty-seventh round of the Saudi League, Al Hilal tied with its counterpart, Al Taawoun, with a score of 2-2.
Al-Taawoun’s two goals were scored by Andre Girotto, while Al-Hilal’s goals were scored by Mohamed Kader Mete and Marcos Leonardo.
With this result, Al Hilal’s streak of consecutive victories, which amounted to four matches in various competitions, ended after its victory over Al Ahly Jeddah in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, as well as over Al Fateh, Al Najma and Al Shabab in the league.
On the other hand, Al-Taawoun continued to provide positive results for the fifth match in a row without receiving any loss, as it achieved draws against Al-Hilal, NEOM, Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Hilal in the first round, in addition to one victory over Al-Fateh.
Al-Nasr benefited from Al-Hilal’s stumble, as it succeeded in expanding its lead at the top of the standings after its victory over Al-Najma.
Al-Hilal took the lead first through “Miti” in the 43rd minute, before “Girotto” equalized the score for Al-Taawoun with a header in the 55th minute, then the same player returned to score the lead goal for his team in the same way in the 67th minute.
However, “Leonardo” succeeded in bringing Al Hilal back into the match by scoring the equalizer after 10 minutes.
With this draw, Al-Hilal raised its score to 65 points in second place, 5 points behind Al-Nasr, the leader, while Al-Taawoun reached 46 points in fifth place.
