"Instagram Plus": "dead" Launches a new paid subscription service

Meta is currently testing a new subscription service on Instagram called “Instagram Plus.” This service aims to provide users with unique features, most notably the ability to keep Stories published for more than a full day.

Illustrations of the service have recently spread in countries such as the Philippines and Mexico.

According to the screenshots shared by social media expert Matt Navarra, the “Instagram Plus” subscription includes multiple features, including the ability to create various viewer groups for each story, view the list of those who viewed your story again, search within the list of viewers, review stories without revealing your identity as a viewer, extend the story display period for an additional 24 hours, design prominent stories (Spotlight), in addition to using “super hearts” to interact with stories.

An official spokesman for “Meta” explained that the service is still in the testing phase in a number of countries that have not been specified, pointing out that the goal is to explore the paid features that users prefer.

Preliminary information indicates that the prices are considered very low, amounting to about US$1.07 per month in the Philippines, and US$2.15 per month in Mexico, with a one-month free trial period.

It is worth noting that this idea is similar to the “Snapchat” service known as “Snapchat+”, which was launched in 2022 and achieved remarkable success as a source of income not linked to advertising. (Russia Today)
