Adraei criticizes "Hezbollah": "Videos" Expose what is hidden in the south

The Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, through his account on the “X” platform, released a set of statements in which he saw that the circulating videos “constitute an insult to every Lebanese,” as he said, accusing Hezbollah of “hypocrisy and lying in its dealings with the Lebanese state.”

Adraee stated that these clips “prove Hezbollah’s treatment of southern Lebanon as an area outside Lebanese sovereignty,” claiming that they reveal what he called “the failure of the state and the Lebanese army to disarm the party south of the Litani, despite official pledges.”

He added that what was stated in these video recordings “disrupts Hezbollah’s narrative regarding its defensive role,” referring to the slogan that its supporters repeat about preventing the advance of the Israeli army in the south, considering that the facts on the ground, according to his claim, “show the opposite.”

Adraee went beyond this to describe Hezbollah as “an enemy of Lebanon and the Lebanese,” in a sharp stance that comes within the framework of the Israeli media discourse accompanying developments on the ground on the southern front.

These statements come in the midst of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah since the beginning of March, which has witnessed a noticeable escalation in the intensity of military operations, with the exchange of missile shelling and air strikes and the targeting of sites inside Lebanese territory.

These events coincide with a mutual media campaign between the two parties, where statements and statements containing mutual accusations and attempts to influence public opinion are published almost daily, in parallel with field clashes.

In this context, there is also a renewed debate about the role of the Lebanese state and the deployment of the army in the south, especially in the southern Litani region, in light of the continuing confrontations and the complexity of the security and political situation.
