In the midst of the continuing escalation on the southern front, the Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, issued an urgent warning to the people of southern Lebanon living south of the Zahrani River, calling on them to evacuate immediately and head north.
Adraee announced through his account on the “X” platform that “Hezbollah’s activities force the Israeli army to act forcefully against it in that region,” stressing that the army “does not intend to harm the population,” but air strikes continue as part of military operations.
He called on residents to “evacuate their homes immediately and head north of the Zahrani River,” warning that “everyone who is near Hezbollah members, its facilities, or its combat means is putting his life in danger.”
He stressed that “remaining south of the Zahrani River may endanger the lives of citizens and their families,” noting that “any movement south may endanger lives.”
This warning comes in light of the continuous air strikes and artillery shelling that have been targeting southern Lebanon for several days, with the expansion of the scope of clashes and the increasing intensity of tension along the front, which has prompted thousands of residents to flee towards safer areas in the north.
