A young star joins the Moroccan national team camp!

Young star Ryan Boneda, the striker of the Dutch team Ajax, received an official invitation to join the Moroccan national team, in preparation for playing two friendly matches against Ecuador and Paraguay.

This month will witness the first appearance of the Moroccan national team under the leadership of new coach Mohamed Wehbe, as part of the Atlas Lions’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup finals, with a remarkable presence of a number of young players.

Wehbe, who led the Moroccan youth national team to win the World Cup in Chile last year, took over from Walid Regragui, who took the team to the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

The first match will bring together the Moroccan national team with Ecuador on March 27 in Madrid, after which it will meet Paraguay on the 31 of the same month in the French city of Lens.

Ryan Bonida joins the Moroccan camp

The Moroccan newspaper “Al-Mukhtab” revealed that Rayan Bonida received an official invitation from the Royal Moroccan Football League to join the national team camp.

The newspaper explained that the aim of the invitation is to enable the player to adapt to his teammates and become familiar with the atmosphere of the national team before the next two matches, within the framework of the university’s policy aimed at supporting dual nationality players and facilitating their integration into the “national system.”

It is noteworthy that Ryan Bonida, 20 years old, was born and raised in Belgium, and is also eligible to play for Morocco, the home country of his parents, and has already chosen to wear the Moroccan national team shirt.
