The German Football Association, in cooperation with Adidas, announced a new design for the German reserve team shirt, which will be worn in the 2026 World Cup matches. The shirt features a different and new touch.
The main color of the shirt is dark blue, and it brings to mind the colors of the national team’s old training shirts, while quoting some touches from the design of the main shirt.
The design includes slanted, curvy lines covering the entire shirt, which is a reference to the classic design of old Adidas shoe boxes, in an attempt to merge heritage with modernity.
German star Florian Wirtz expressed his admiration for the new shirt, saying that the color is “unusual, but really wonderful,” and added that he looks forward to wearing it soon.
The German national team will appear in this shirt for the first time in the friendly match against Switzerland on March 27 in Basel, and it will later be adopted by other national teams for different age groups.
