Information reported that a four-wheel drive car with tinted windows, carrying unknown people, fired a random barrage of bullets at the “Handle Me” store in the Chevrolet area, on Wednesday evening.
Details indicate that the shooting caused material damage to the storefront, without causing any casualties among individuals.
Immediately after the accident occurred, security forces rushed to the scene and began intensive field investigations. They also reviewed surveillance cameras in the area in order to identify the perpetrators and reveal the details and circumstances of the accident.
This attack comes in the context of the escalation of security tension witnessed in Beirut and other Lebanese regions in the past few days, in conjunction with the continuing Israeli raids and repeated threats targeting the southern suburb of the capital. These developments led to the displacement of a number of families from the suburb towards nearby areas and neighborhoods in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, which led to an increase in population density and created a state of tension and security pressure in some areas.
