Mohamed Salah is preparing to write a new chapter in his career with Liverpool, when the team meets Galatasaray on Wednesday in the second leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League.
If he participates in the match, the Egyptian star will equal Sami Hyypia’s record by playing the 94th European match with a Liverpool shirt, ranking third in the list of players who have participated with the club the most in continental championships.
In addition, Salah seeks to score only one goal, to become the first African player to be able to reach goal No. 50 in the history of his participation in the Champions League.
It is noteworthy that “Salah” is currently playing his ninth season with Liverpool, since his move to the club from Roma in the summer of 2017. During this period, he was able to score 254 goals and assist 118 others in the 434 matches he played with the team in various tournaments.
