
The Minister of Interior and Municipalities, “Ahmed Al-Hajjar,” received at the ministry’s headquarters, the Governor of South Lebanon, “Mansour Daou,” where the situation in the governorates of South Lebanon and Nabatieh was reviewed in detail, especially in light of the continued Israeli attacks, especially on villages and towns located on the border.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed the latest field and security developments, especially the effects of the ongoing bombing and the displacement movement, in addition to the needs of municipalities and local authorities receiving displaced families, and how to support logistical and relief readiness in the affected areas, in order to ensure a rapid response.
The need for coordination between the various official institutions and concerned agencies was also emphasized, to keep pace with successive developments, in light of the sensitive conditions that the country is going through, with an emphasis on the importance of maintaining internal security and stability.
This meeting comes within a series of daily meetings conducted by Minister Al-Hajjar to follow up on the security and field situation, where he also received MP Asaad Dergham, and the general situation and current challenges were discussed.
