I learned that the government delegate to the Board of Directors of Lebanon Television, Director General of the Ministry of Information, Hassan Falha, expressed his reservations during the Board of Directors meeting last Monday, due to the implementation of the decision issued by the Minister of Information regarding the use of certain words in news and media reports.
According to the available data, Falha has shown strong opposition to implementing the content of the resolution demanding not to use the word “resistance” and replacing it with the term “Hezbollah” in media coverage, considering that this issue creates disagreements within the institution and does not enjoy everyone’s support.
This objection came during the dialogue that took place at the meeting of the Board of Directors of “Lebanon Television”, where Falha recorded an explicit refusal to implement the decision, amid a discussion about its professional and media effects on the performance of the official institution.
This development occurs in light of the controversy surrounding the decision issued by the Minister of Information, which addresses the way “Hezbollah” is described in official news.
