In the context of the ongoing military escalation in Lebanon, the Israeli media highlighted parallel political and military activities related to the course of the ongoing war between Israel and Hezbollah.
According to what Israeli Channel 12 reported, Lebanon proposed, through the mediation of the administration of US President Donald Trump, holding direct talks with Israel to end the war, but the American and Israeli response was “cold and very pessimistic.”
On the other hand, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper indicated that the Israeli army is considering expanding its ground operations in Lebanon, including controlling areas kilometers deep inside Lebanese territory as part of current military operations.
The Jerusalem Post also quoted an Israeli source as saying that Hezbollah is preparing for a long-term campaign against Israel, indicating expectations that the conflict will continue for a long time.
These developments come at a time when the Lebanese line is witnessing a major escalation in recent days, as Israel carried out a series of raids targeting several towns in southern Lebanon in addition to the southern suburb of Beirut.
On the other hand, the Islamic Resistance announced the implementation of multiple military operations targeting Israeli sites, including firing rockets at the Nahariya settlement, in addition to targeting an Israeli army force in the Hunine Valley.
The resistance also announced the implementation of operations targeting Israeli military sites in the depths, including “the satellite communications station of the Communications and Cyber Defense Division of the Israeli army in the Ella Valley in central Israel, and the Ramla base southeast of the city of Tel Aviv.”
These developments come in light of increasing warnings of the expansion of the scope of the confrontation on the Lebanese front, with the continuation of raids and mutual military operations between the two parties.
