The President of the Lebanese University, Dr. Bassam Badran, announced the extension of the suspension of studies in all colleges and branches affiliated with the university until the evening of Sunday, March 15.
In a statement, Badran explained that this decision includes all colleges and institutes affiliated with the Lebanese University, as part of the measures taken in light of the current conditions.
He added that a later statement will be issued to clarify how administrative work will proceed during the coming period, and whether it will continue normally or be subject to specific procedures.
This decision comes in light of the unusual security conditions that the country is witnessing as a result of military developments in the region, which has prompted many educational institutions to take precautions related to the continuation of the educational process.
It is noteworthy that the Lebanese University had announced in the past few days the temporary suspension of studies in its various branches, as a precautionary measure in light of the military escalation taking place in the country and the region, in addition to concern about the impact of the security conditions on the movement of students and professors. The extension of the suspension is part of a series of decisions aimed at maintaining the security and safety of faculty members and students.
