Israeli occupation army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, reported that Israeli warplanes launched a series of attacks last night, targeting Hezbollah sites in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
Adraee stated in a statement published on his account on the
He stated that the attacks targeted command centers and several high buildings, which he claimed contained military infrastructure, explaining that among the targets were the headquarters of the Executive Council and a warehouse that was used to store drones that the party used to carry out offensive operations towards Israeli territory.
He continued, saying that these sites were used, according to his claim, to direct and carry out military operations against IDF soldiers and the population of Israel.
Adraee pointed out that the Israeli army took several measures before carrying out the raids with the aim of reducing the possibility of harming civilians, including issuing advance warnings to the population, using precision weapons, and carrying out reconnaissance flights.
He stressed that the Israeli army “will not allow the citizens of the State of Israel to be harmed,” stressing the continuation of operations against Hezbollah, which he described as “engaged in the battle and operating under the auspices of the Iranian regime.”
These raids come in light of the escalation in the intensity of military operations between Israel and Hezbollah, as the past few days witnessed a series of Israeli air strikes targeting multiple areas in Lebanon, including the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Bekaa region, and southern Lebanon.
