European traders reported that the government grain buyer in Jordan purchased approximately 50,000 tons of barley feed on Wednesday, as part of a global tender aimed at purchasing a quantity of up to 120,000 tons.

Traders explained that Jordan purchased barley from the “Bang” company at a price estimated at about $260.50 per ton, including cost and shipping, with the supply being made during the second half of next June.

According to Reuters, two additional companies participated in the tender with estimated prices including cost and shipping, as CHS submitted a bid of $265.98, while Cargill offered a price of $264.95.

These reports represent estimates by dealers, and it is possible that more estimates of prices and quantities will be available at a later time.

Traders also added that a new tender is expected to be held next week to purchase barley that will be supplied in the first half of June and in July 2026.
