This evening, His Excellency President General Joseph Aoun discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region with Iraqi President Abdel Latif Rashid and Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, in light of the successive events taking place in the region.
During this communication, President Aoun stressed that Lebanon stands by the Iraqi people in these difficult times, and stressed the need to redouble efforts to reduce the intensity of regional tensions and avoid their negative effects on the countries of the region.
President Aoun also exchanged views with President Rashid and the Sudanese Prime Minister on security developments in Lebanon, and the importance of working to stop the escalation and return the situation to normal, especially in light of the delicate circumstances that the country is going through.
