The Israeli army spokeswoman, Captain Ella, stated in a post on the “X” platform that the Israeli army carried out a series of air strikes targeting facilities belonging to the “Al-Qard Al-Hassan” association in various areas of Lebanon, claiming that it supports Hezbollah financially.

It stated that the “Al-Qard Al-Hassan” Association has been operating for years as an important civilian financial institution in Lebanon, but, according to what was stated in the statement, it exploits civilian funds deposited with it to provide financial services to Hezbollah and its members, for military purposes.

She added that Hezbollah has established an economic network parallel to the Lebanese economic system, with the aim of providing the necessary funding for it. This network relies mainly on the “Al-Qard Al-Hassan” Association, through which funds are deposited and preserved, salaries are paid to members, in addition to receiving financial transfers from Iran.

She explained that this money is used to purchase weapons and equipment necessary for manufacturing, and to transfer salaries, noting that the Lebanese people have been going through a severe economic and humanitarian crisis for years, which is being exploited by Hezbollah, which is working to exacerbate it by enhancing citizens’ dependence on it and strengthening its military presence.

She concluded her speech by saying that Hezbollah’s efforts to recover economically and work in the branches of the “Al-Qard Al-Hassan” association pose a danger to the citizens of Israel, stressing that the Israeli army will continue to implement what it described as “firm and strong actions against Hezbollah.”
