The whole world is boiling, and is waiting for the “mood” of US President Donald Trump, to decide whether he will launch any military strike on Iran, which, if it happens, will affect the entire Middle East region. Tehran will not be satisfied with responding itself, but has threatened to move its arms in the region to support it, such as the Houthis and Hezbollah. The flight of two drones over Hamat Air Base was not fleeting, and led to the US embassy moving and the evacuation of a large number of its employees.
Writer and political analyst Wajdi Al-Aridi confirms that “Hezbollah’s threat to respond to any American strike on Iran may occur, due to the ideological, ideological and religious complementarity between them, especially since the party is considered one of Iran’s most prominent arms in the region, and it finances and supports it with weapons and money. This was said by the Secretary-General of the Party, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, and the former Secretary-General, Mr. Hassan. Nasrallah, they are soldiers of the Guardianship of the Jurist.”
In an interview with the MTV website, he considered that “Hezbollah’s ability to respond is no longer what it was before, as its military structure has been significantly damaged.”
Al-Aridi says: “Representative Ashraf Rifi warned of the consequences of Hezbollah’s support for Iran, as it would bring destruction to its environment and to Lebanon. He stressed that the party and Iran are finished, and what he is doing comes within the framework of political maneuvers and nothing more.”
He points out that “the Lebanese army holds the area south of the Litani, and therefore, it will not allow Hezbollah to launch missiles from any area in Lebanon, and if the party tries to support Iran, it will destroy what remains of its environment and the country.”
Al-Aridi believes that “the party’s military arsenal has ended, especially in the last war, and therefore it cannot bomb Israel, and if there are some missiles present and they are fired at the Zionist entity, then Hezbollah knows in advance that this will lead to an earthquake, similar to what happened with Hamas in Gaza.”
Will the “party” do it and implement the Iranian threat to the Hamat base? Al-Aridi says: “If Hezbollah tries to attack the Hamat base or any American or European interests, this will increase the size of the sanctions and persecution against it, and consequently, the deportation of large numbers of members of its sect from the United States and Europe, and this is a very dangerous matter,” stressing that “any attack on American interests will destroy the political, military, economic and financial structure of Hezbollah. Therefore, any foolishness in this context, “It will harm Lebanon, its interests, and its investments.”
He continues: “I do not see that Hezbollah is capable of doing what it was able to do during the 1980s, when it bombed the Marine headquarters in Beirut, for example, and other operations, the repercussions of which were disastrous for the Lebanese economy at that time.”
The above is confirmed by strategic expert Riad Kahwaji, who points out that “the party can target the Hamat base, and it has the missiles and drones to target it, but this matter is a big game. If it does it, it will have entered into a direct battle with the Lebanese army, and its repercussions will be great, and it is difficult for it to emerge politically and militarily unscathed inside Lebanon, and the situation will change completely if it does so.” On this step.”
How can the “party” respond to any American attack on Iran? Kahwaji revealed in an interview with the MTV website, “Hezbollah is studying a response from the Bekaa and from northern Lebanon in the direction of Qusayr,” considering that “the party’s missiles present in the Bekaa reach Israel easily.”
He believes that “the party’s targets include Israeli military barracks and gathering centers, and a large list of targets from Tel Aviv to Haifa.”
