The Committee for Follow-up on the Implementation of Tax Reform in Iraq reported that the volume of tax revenues achieved during the fiscal year 2025 amounted to 4.2 trillion Iraqi dinars.
In a statement today, Wednesday, committee member Khaled Al-Jabri explained that “this number is the highest in the history of Iraqi tax revenues, which reflects tangible progress in the path of financial reforms and enhancing the efficiency of tax collection.”
Al-Jabri continued, according to the Iraqi News Agency “INA”, that “the increase in revenues came as a result of the General Tax Authority’s inclusion of major administrative reforms, as these reforms will be reflected and completed by the digital transformation that the committee seeks to carry out, especially with the attraction of major international companies for this purpose.”
He also pointed out that “some departments in the General Tax Authority are witnessing simple digital transformation processes in preparation for the comprehensive transformation that is expected to begin during the current year.”
