Representative Ihab Hamadeh, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, explained that the upcoming elections represent an important milestone in a plan targeting the resistance, as they are being used as a tool to direct a political strike against it as part of an effort to weaken it.

In a speech he delivered on the one-year anniversary of the martyrdom of the Mujahid Khalil Muhammad Shams, at the Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him) complex in Hermel, Hamadeh stated that there are those who seek, through the upcoming elections, to form a “Shiite” bloc within Parliament that differs from the national duo, and seeks to achieve goals that are compatible with a future project that he described as “delusional,” which is based on handing over Lebanon to the “Israeli.” He stressed that these attempts, no matter how strong, will not succeed in harming a cohesive environment that operates under a leadership that he described as wise and capable of determining the appropriate time and place for action.

In a related political context, Hamadeh believed that what was stated in former Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s speech on the anniversary of the martyrdom of President Rafik Hariri confirms that no party in Lebanon can cancel another party, and that Lebanon is the final homeland for all its people, and it is open to any political participation provided that it is consistent with the major goals of preserving the state, not handing it over to the “Israeli” and the Zionist-American project.

He pointed out that the resistance is ready for any dialogue related to Lebanon’s strength and ability, provided that it is a serious dialogue that leads to a strong state capable of protecting the Lebanese, their interests, and their existence.

Regarding the situation in the south, Hamadeh explained that it is not enough to talk about extending state sovereignty while avoiding approaching the sites where the “Israelis” are stationed, considering that this situation contradicts the claim of extending actual sovereignty over the land.

He concluded his speech by emphasizing that sovereignty, in light of this current approach and behavior, has practically become in the hands of the “Israeli” over the entire Lebanese territory, not just south of the Litani River, considering that this reality has become clear in the eyes of the Lebanese despite all the slogans and speeches.
