The head of the Amal Movement’s executive body, Mustafa Al-Fouani, explained that the movement is determined to secure the participation of expatriates in the upcoming parliamentary elections, through their voting in the 16th district, in compliance with the current law.

Al-Fouani stated this during a meeting with cadres of the “Amal” movement in Africa, in the presence of the central organizational official, Youssef Jaber, and the official in charge of foreign and expatriate relations, Dr. Ali Hayek, where he stressed the importance of thwarting attempts to cast doubt on the possibility of holding elections on time, and called for accelerating taking the necessary steps to complete the electoral process in the 16th district.

In the same context, Al-Fouani stressed that the nomination of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nabih Berri, is considered a definitive response to everyone who doubts the necessity of holding parliamentary elections on their constitutional date, considering that this nomination reflects the actual commitment to the electoral entitlement, and lays the foundation for a political phase based on respecting the constitution, protecting democratic life, and preventing any attempt to disrupt the constitutional process under any pretext.

Al-Fouani also stressed the Amal Movement’s commitment to defending the rights of depositors, ensuring their legal right to recover their money in full, and not violating it in any way.

Regarding national affairs, Al-Fouani appealed to the countries supporting the ceasefire agreement to intervene immediately to stop the Israeli attacks that violate the nation’s sovereignty, kill children, destroy homes, and seek to break the will of the people who cling to their land and homeland. He called on the government to fulfill its pledges in the reconstruction file, and provide appropriate conditions for the return of the residents of the south to their villages and towns.
