The Ministry of Finance issued an official statement stating that, as of this morning, it has become able to collect fees, taxes and other dues through its funds located in various centers, including the Muhtasibiya and some ministries. The Ministry confirmed the possibility of paying using bank credit cards, in addition to electronic payment through the Ministry’s official website: “www.finance.gov.lb.”
The Ministry explained that this modern method of payment is in addition to the approved traditional method, which is the use of checks drawn on behalf of the Central Treasury Treasurer.
The statement stressed that this step comes within the framework of a comprehensive modernization plan that aims to facilitate the transfer of funds between citizens and government departments, which facilitates procedures and reduces administrative burdens.
