Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar issued a warning on Sunday that Iran is working hard to produce large numbers of long-range ballistic missiles, describing these missiles as a direct danger not only to Israel, but also to European countries.

Saar stated that the Iranian regime’s efforts to obtain nuclear weapons constitute a clear threat to world peace and the stability of the region, accusing Tehran of “spreading terrorism outside the borders of the Middle East, including Latin America, through networks and allies in a number of regions.”

In the context of his talk about the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Foreign Minister stressed his country’s support for US President Donald Trump’s plan, stressing that disarming the Hamas movement and stripping the Strip of any weapons represents a basis that cannot be ignored in any future agreement. He considered this condition to be “the essence of the plan, and a condition for achieving stability and ensuring a better future for the residents of the Gaza Strip.”

Saar also pointed out that achieving security and stability in Lebanon remains difficult in light of the presence of what he called the “Hezbollah Army,” with a focus on the impact of the party’s military role on the security situation in the country.

Sa’ar made these statements during his meeting with the Paraguayan Foreign Minister, where he expressed his appreciation for Asuncion’s decision to move its embassy to Jerusalem, and praised Paraguay’s decision to “classify the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization.”

These statements coincide with the escalation of Israeli warnings regarding the increase in Iranian missile and nuclear capabilities, in parallel with ongoing political and diplomatic dialogues about the future of the Gaza Strip and its effects on the security of the region.
