Iranian warning to regional governments and companies: Help them face our response

The Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, issued a direct warning to governments, investment funds and companies in the region against providing any resources to artificial intelligence companies and data centers that support military operations or what he described as “killing children.”

Official agencies quoted Qalibaf as saying in a warning message: “We advise you not to provide any resources to any artificial intelligence company or data that helps in the invasions,” adding in a decisive tone: “Help them and you will face our response.” Thus, the technology and data sectors officially enter the Iranian regional warning circle.

In a related context, Qalibaf announced that “the Persian Gulf Data Authority is coming,” without providing any additional details about the nature of this authority, its work mechanisms, or its areas of jurisdiction.

These warnings coincide with statements made a few days ago by the spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Brigadier General Hussein Mohebi, in which he affirmed his country’s readiness to respond to any potential attack with greater force, warning that any anticipated confrontation would have more serious repercussions for Washington.

These successive positions confirm the escalation of Iranian deterrence messages, and the expansion of their scope to include, in addition to traditional military capabilities, the advanced technology and artificial intelligence sectors, and the regional bodies supporting them with resources and funding.
