The single-seat battle shakes the political map in Israel and gives Netanyahu a decisive draw with the opposition

An opinion poll published by the Israeli newspaper “Maariv” on Friday showed that the strength of the “Likud” party had increased by one seat, resulting in the camp of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tied with the camp of the Zionist opposition parties, with each of them obtaining 52 seats in the Knesset.

The survey was conducted under the supervision of the “Lazar Research Institute” headed by Menachem Lazar, in cooperation with the “Panel4ALL” company.

The results of the poll resulted in the “Ya’shar” party, headed by Gadi Eisenkot, topping the political scene by winning 21 seats, while the “Likud” party led by Benjamin Netanyahu came in second place with 20 seats.

The rest of the results put the “Ma’an” party in third place with 13 seats, followed by the “Democrats” party and the “Israel Our Home” party headed by Avigdor Lieberman with 9 seats each, while the “Otzma Yehudit” party led by Itamar Ben Gvir won 8 seats.

The Joint Arab List, the “United Torah Judaism” party, and the “Shas” party each won 7 seats, while the “Religious Zionism” party won 6 seats, the United Arab List 5 seats, while the “Amekh Israel” and “Reservists and Economic Soldiers” parties won 4 seats each.

In terms of seat movement and the party map, the poll witnessed a decline in the Zionist opposition camp by one seat as a result of the decrease in the representation of the “Democrats” party by one seat, while the rest of the camp’s parties maintained their strength. In the opposite camp, the representation of the “Otzma Yehudit” party decreased by one seat, while the representation of the “Religious Zionism” party increased in a similar seat. As for the Arab parties, they maintained their electoral stability by winning 12 seats together.
