Abi Ramia is in Warsaw to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between Lebanon and Poland

Representative Simon Abi Ramia left the Lebanese capital, Beirut, at the head of a parliamentary delegation, heading to Warsaw, in response to an official invitation from the Polish House of Representatives, on a visit aimed at advancing bilateral relations and expanding the horizons of political and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Lebanese delegation’s agenda includes a series of intensive meetings that include officials from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chairman and members of the Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, in addition to members of the Parliamentary Friendship Committee. The talks are scheduled to discuss ways to enhance legislative and political cooperation and exchange views on issues of common interest.

The delegation also holds meetings with economic bodies, business councils, and events concerned with trade and investment, with the aim of opening new channels of cooperation for the private sector in Beirut and Warsaw, and enhancing opportunities for trade and investment exchange.

This visit comes as a continuation of the active diplomatic and parliamentary movement witnessed by Lebanese-Polish relations during the year 2026. A delegation from the Polish-Lebanese Parliamentary Friendship Group initiated a visit to Beirut between June 1 and 4, where it met with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Committee, MP Fadi Alama, and discussed with him regional challenges and areas of civil defense support and humanitarian aid.

During the period from August 15 to 18, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Polish Parliament, Representative Pawel Koval, visited Lebanon and met with Representative Fadi Alama to discuss the reconstruction file and developments in the UNIFIL mission. This was followed in late August by an official visit by the Polish Deputy Foreign Minister, Wojciech Zajonczkowski, who met with Deputy Prime Minister Tareq Mitri and Representative Fadi Alama, discussing the political and field conditions in southern Lebanon and the post-UNIFIL phase.

It is noteworthy that Poland provided during the recent period about 300 tons of humanitarian aid, which included food supplies and medical equipment to support Lebanon in its difficult circumstances. The visit of Representative Abi Ramia and the accompanying delegation culminates this diplomatic path, with both sides looking forward to advancing bilateral relations towards broader horizons that include economic, investment and institutional partnership.
