A fake page for Heder committed suicide... and the ministry resolves the controversy

The Ministry of Labor warned of the appearance of a fake page on the “Instagram” platform that intends to impersonate the name, title, and photo of the Minister of Labor, Muhammad Haider, calling on citizens to be careful and not to interact with the page or respond to any messages or requests issued by it.

The Ministry confirmed, in a statement issued by it, that all communication channels, statements, positions and requests issued by the Minister or his office are carried out exclusively through official and approved channels, stressing the importance of completely avoiding dealing with any unreliable accounts or pages that exploit the Minister’s name or personal image.

In the same context, the Ministry urged citizens to immediately report to the competent authorities any suspicious activity emanating from this fake page or any similar pages, as part of efforts to limit attempts to impersonate official capacities and exploit the names of officials for illegal purposes.

This warning comes in light of the growing phenomenon of fake accounts across social media platforms, which target public figures and official officials for the purpose of misleading users and luring them into interacting with unofficial parties.

The official authorities reiterate the necessity of always verifying verified accounts and approved media channels before sharing any personal information or responding to any requests, especially those related to ministries, officials and public services.
