Finance warns those who are slow: Your countdown to the fall of tax exemptions has begun

The Ministry of Finance issued a statement reminding the concerned taxpayers that some of the grace periods granted under the grace period suspension law No. 46 issued on July 27, 2026, which expire during the month of October 2026, are about to expire.

The Ministry called on the taxpayers to take the initiative to submit their permits and complete their duties within the strictly specified deadlines, which were as follows:

  • October 10, 2026: The deadline for revaluation of inventory and revaluation of fixed assets for the years 2023 and 2024, pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 330/2024 and extended by Law No. 40/2026.
  • 31 October 2026: The deadline for submitting annual income tax declarations for the year 2025 for financial companies, banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, and holding companies, along with the annual statements and declarations associated with them.
  • 31 October 2026: The deadline for submitting requests to re-evaluate elements of fixed assets of financial companies for the year 2025, in accordance with Law No. 330/2024.

The Ministry of Finance concluded its statement stressing the need for taxpayers to adhere to the aforementioned deadlines in order to avoid any legal fines.
